Look up and ahead (not at the horse’s neck).
Check: Eyes up.
Sit tall: ear–shoulder–hip–heel line (ask your instructor to check).
Check: I feel stacked and balanced.
Hands quiet, thumbs on top, with soft elbows.
Check: Hands don’t bounce.
Heels down gently (don’t force them).
Check: Ankles feel soft.
Breathe and relax your shoulders.
Check: I can breathe calmly.
