These terms explain how you can use Horse Academy (horseacademy.com), including the trend articles, the reference library, the Kids games and the community boards. By using the site, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site. Questions: contact@horseacademy.com.

What Horse Academy is, and isn't

• Horse Academy is a free, bilingual site for learning about horses and following horse news. We don't sell personal information and we don't show ads.
• It is general information, not professional advice. Nothing here is veterinary, medical, legal or financial advice, and nothing replaces a veterinarian who can examine your horse. If a horse seems sick, hurt or "just not right", call your vet. In an emergency, call right away instead of waiting for answers online.
• Horses can be dangerous. Practice riding and handling only with a qualified instructor, wear a helmet when you ride, and kids should always have an adult nearby. You are responsible for how you use what you read here.

How our articles are made

We use AI tools to follow the conversation, draft articles and check facts against the sources listed on every page. If a claim can't be traced to a source, it's cut. Even so, articles can contain mistakes or go out of date as a story changes. Always check important details with the original source or a professional. If you spot an error, email us and we'll correct it. Our editorial standards explain the process.

Using our content

• You're welcome to read, print and share links to our pages for personal, classroom and other non-commercial use.
• Please don't copy whole articles, the library or the games to another site or app, or present them as your own, without our written permission.
• Sources, quotes, logos and posts we link to belong to their owners. Links to other sites are for your information; we don't control those sites and aren't responsible for them.

The Kids section

The Kids games and learning pages need no account and have no comments or chat. Game progress stays in your browser. Parents and teachers can find tips on the Parents & Teachers page.

Community accounts

• You must be 13 or older to create a community account. If you're under 18, check with a parent or guardian first.
• You sign in with Google, Apple, Facebook or X. Use one account per person, keep your sign-in secure, and don't share it. You're responsible for what's posted from your account.
• Pick a display name that doesn't impersonate anyone and doesn't include personal details like your full name, school or phone number.
• The Privacy page explains what we store when you sign in.

Rules for posts

Follow the community rules every time you post, reply or vote. In short, don't post anything that:

• is mean, harassing, hateful or threatening, or bullies anyone;
• shares personal information about you or anyone else (addresses, phone numbers, schools, emails, full names);
• buys, sells or gives away animals, or advertises, spams or scams;
• encourages unsafe handling, cruelty to animals or anything illegal;
• gives medication doses or tells someone to skip the vet;
• is sexual, violent or otherwise not suitable for a family site;
• copies someone else's work without permission or pretends to be someone else.

Your posts

• You keep ownership of what you write. By posting, you give Horse Academy permission to store, display and share it on the site (for example, on board pages and in the latest-conversations list) for as long as it stays posted.
• Posts are public. Anyone can read them, including people who aren't signed in and search engines.
• Your display name and emoji appear next to your posts. Your email address is never shown.

Moderation

• A filter blocks some offensive words, and there are limits on how often you can post and how many links a post can include.
• Anyone signed in can report a post. Posts reported by several people are hidden automatically while we review them.
• We can remove any post, and suspend or ban any account, that breaks these terms or the community rules, or that puts people or horses at risk. We don't read every post before it appears, so please report problems.
• Think a decision was a mistake? Email us and tell us which post or account.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time: sign in, open your community profile and choose Delete account. That permanently deletes your profile, posts, likes, reports and sign-ins right away. You can also email us from the address linked to your account. See the Privacy page for details.

No guarantees

We work hard to keep Horse Academy accurate, safe and online, but we provide it "as is". We can't promise that every article is complete or current, or that the site will always be available. To the fullest extent the law allows, Horse Academy isn't liable for any loss or injury that comes from using the site, relying on its content or interacting with other users. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the law where you live.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If you keep using the site after a change, the new terms apply.
