About this game
Gallop around three barrels in the cloverleaf pattern, just like at the rodeo. Beat the clock without knocking a barrel over. A free barrel racing game for kids.
How to play
- Pick a horse and press Start. The clock starts when you gallop over the line.
- Loop barrel 1 to the right, then barrels 2 and 3 to the left. The dotted guide line shows the way.
- Leave a little room around each barrel. Touching one is OK, but knocking it over adds 5 seconds.
- After barrel 3, race straight home across the line to stop the clock.
- Race again and try to beat your best time!
Controls: Drag your finger or the mouse where the horse should go, or hold the turn buttons. Keyboard: arrow keys or WASD to steer, P to pause, M for sound, R to race again.
What you learn
- Barrel racing is a timed rodeo event run in a cloverleaf pattern.
- Riders loop one barrel in one direction and the other two in the opposite direction.
- A barrel knocked over adds a 5-second penalty.
- Leaving a pocket of space lets the horse turn without hitting the barrel.
