What you learn
- Horse breeds come from all over the world, from Spain to Iceland.
- Ponies, light horses and draft horses differ in size and build.
- Horse height is measured in hands at the shoulder. One hand is 4 inches (about 10 cm).
- Coat color, mane and long leg hair called feathering are clues to a horse's breed.
