Step by step

Check the pad: smooth, centered, no wrinkles.
Check: Pad is smooth.
Check the saddle position with your instructor (behind the shoulder).
Check: Instructor confirmed position.
Check the girth is snug (not sudden-tight).
Check: Girth checked.
Check stirrup length: even and correct for you.
Check: Stirrups even.
Check bridle and reins are not twisted.
Check: No twists.
